B&R Automation appoint Daanet as distributor for ANZ
In a formal agreement signed on 30 September, Daanet has been confirmed as the Australian and New Zealand distributor for Bernecker & Rainer (B&R).
Established in Eggelsberg, Austria in 1979, B&R are well-known in the industry for innovation in technology development, pioneering many unique products and methods in industrial automation. B&R offer a comprehensive automation range, including PLCs, open PC-based control, I/O, HMI, safety and motion control technology.
Daanet was formed in 2003 by an Australia-wide group of nearly 20 automation product distributors, many of those having already been in business for 15 years or more. The purpose of Daanet was to indentify and introduce leading international brands to the Australian market to complement the ranges already supplied by the individual distributors. As a result of this collaboration, Daanet's size and buying power benefits customers with national support and competitive pricing.
B&R already has an established customer base in Australia and New Zealand in various industries, including high speed packaging and filling applications. The obective of the relationship with Daanet is to further develop its success in the Australian and New Zealand automation markets.
Recently moving into new premises in West Melbourne, Daanet are making a significant investment in stock and training to support their distributor network in all states of Australia and New Zealand.
