Advantech has been named the winner of The Most Innovative Corporation Award for 2009 in China. The selection for the outstanding innovator in China was established by the CEOCIO China magazine and Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. During the six-month evaluation period, the organisers publicly requested and collected the nominations for innovative enterprises and the selection results were voted by an award committee composed of hundreds of entrepreneurs, consultants, education experts and media executives.

The award committee praised Advantech by stating: “With the most sharp-witted sense of judgment, Advantech has built up a standard intelligent platform in the exclusive and restricted embedded computer industry and clearly understood customer needs in detail as well as the need for unceasing innovation and change.”

An important series of innovative ideas have been implemented throughout Advantech, such as developing low-power and low-carbon products for energy saving and reducing carbon emissions, integrating global manufacturing resources and service to meet flexible customer design requirements, and customisation manufacturing demands, all of which have driven the revenue growth above 8%.

Advantech has enjoyed 26 years of rapid evolution and expansion to become one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial computers through innovation and solid implementation. Advantech is pushing itself to contribute even more to the community and undertake greater social responsibility by establishing innovative models of university/industry cooperation and progressive employee volunteer activities.

The Innovative Corporation Award panel started by looking at the advanced processes of those enterprises which yielded significant results in the finance and strategy of their business. Through detailed interviews and market research, CEOCIO China magazine and Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management wanted to discover ideal businesses that have sustainable innovation systems in China and that also pool resources and experiences to share with other corporations that are also looking for innovative methods. There were three themes which influenced the final assessment, including 'The path of business transformation in economic crisis', 'Innovation of the enterprise strategy management', and 'Optimised management strategies that enhance business productivity'.
