ACI Connect call for papers
A call for papers has been issued for the inaugural ACI Connect conference and exhibition, to be held on 9 and 10 April 2014 in Melbourne.
From the organisers of the Regional Roadshows and publisher of What’s New in Process Technology and ProcessOnline.com.au, ACI Connect is now in the planning phase with full support from the Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (IICA).
Case study proposals for inclusion in the conference agenda are being sought. If you would like to share your knowledge and practical experience, the ACI Connect organisers would like to hear from you.
Submissions may target a specific industry group or be more general, industry-based papers with broader appeal.
The aim of ACI Connect is to allow industry and users of automation, control and instrumentation systems, products and services to share experiences, develop ideas and to hear best practice from those who understand the real challenges faced day to day.
Key focus points for ACI Connect 2014 include:
- Automation
- Control
- Instrumentation
The organisers are seeking a broad cross-section of case studies including, but not limited to, the following sectors:
- Food and beverage manufacturing and processing
- Mining, minerals and metals processing
- Power generation and distribution
- Water collection and distribution
- Chemicals manufacturing and processing
- Oil and gas exploration production and distribution
Submissions will be evaluated based on the inclusion of case studies, their relevance to the focus areas, practicality and timeliness, along with the speaker’s knowledge and past experience. Templates for all sessions will be provided.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 29 November 2013. Successful applicants will be notified no later than 17 January 2014.
