Abstracts invited for Chemeca 2014

Chemeca 2014 organisers have issued a call for abstracts for the chemical engineering conference. The closing date for papers is 10 March.

To be held in Perth from 28 September to 1 October, Chemeca 2014 is the annual conference for Australian and New Zealand chemical and process engineers and industrial chemists.

This year’s theme - Processing Excellence; Powering Our Future - has set the premise for topics and discussions to be covered by a host of international and local speakers from industry, government and academia who will share lessons learned, and information on the latest challenges, innovations and developments. The event is also about celebrating and recognising outstanding achievement through the Awards of Excellence in Chemical Engineering with the most prestigious being the Chemeca Medal.

Abstracts are invited under the following themes:

  • Particle technology and mineral processing
  • Fuels and energy
  • Oil and gas processing
  • Environmental science and technology
  • Food, pharmaceuticals and bioengineering
  • Material science and engineering
  • Process safety
  • Modelling, simulations and control
  • Nanotechnology
  • Rheology
  • Separation technologies
  • Water science and engineering
  • Zeolite and ordered porous materials
  • Molecular modelling in chemical engineering
  • Engineering education
  • Fluid mechanics and heat transfer

Chemeca 2014 is hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Federation of Chemical Engineers (ANZFChE), comprising the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in Australia, SCENZ - IChemE in New Zealand, Engineers Australia (EA) and the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ).
